John’s knowledge and experience in automotive spans dealers, manufacturers (production & supply chain), importers, vehicle logistics, rental, auto finance and leasing, providing comprehensive insight into how the industry operates. Qualified as an Engineer, an early move into the automotive industry applying technology, business change and solutions led to working with manufacturers on a global basis. Much of this experience has been gained through implementing change, business improvement and new technologies across multiple international markets. This international experience will help in opening a new chapter in apd’s history by architecting successful relationships that deliver change, new process, and increased business performance within a high service environment for its clients. New services, new products and a capable international network are core to expanding capabilities for existing customers and building new client relationships.

Barry has over 14 years' experience in managing the development of global composite systems across multiple international automotive manufacturers. Initially from an accounting background, the majority of Barry's career has been spent working within automotive Business Management technology field and he has been the leading figure in numerous composite system platform migrations and developments. Barry's role in apd is to lead the company's technology and product strategy, managing the development of our products to ensure that apd deliver market-leading Business Management products and services to all our clients. Working with colleagues and clients alike, Barry's in-depth understanding of the technical and commercial requirements of the composite process continues to prove invaluable in the Business Management Division of apd.

With a background in economics and accounting, Jonno has spent a number of years gaining experience in both general accounting and financial composites. He has over a decade of experience working with clients to develop, deliver and manage global composite systems around the world. Jonno’s role within apd centre's around the clients and their experience of our products; leading the Operations teams in working with clients to develop and deliver bespoke, innovative, comprehensive and accurate Business Management products/solutions, in-line with the individual needs of each client and their dealer network. Jonno's commercial experience, combined with his technical knowledge, drive the operations of apd today and contribute to the advancement of apd's products for the future.

With over a decade of experience in analysis, design, development and implementation of enterprise database, web and desktop applications specializing in Microsoft Technologies, Rahul is the lead senior systems developer responsible for the onward evolution of apd's respected products and services. From a background as lead solution developer within a number of globally operating software development agencies servicing blue chip clients around the world, Rahul's breadth of experience is leveraged directly ensuring apd are at the forefront of technology and solutions to meet the demands of our global client base.

Dan, a Computer Science graduate, joined apd in 2010 from a Business Process Outsourcing company working on behalf of a major UK energy supplier. Bringing his background of systems engineering and his experience of Data Analysis and Reporting together, Dan swiftly built up a detailed knowledge of the underlying system infrastructure. As Project Manager for R&D, Dan is always busy developing ideas in the "apd lab" that will result in delivering the next generation of exciting apd products to our end users. Outside of the project lab, Dan is a keen golfer and enjoys keeping fit.

Over 4 years experience in a helpdesk/network administrator role, skilled with a broad range of Microsoft operating systems, Office platforms, Active Directory, VMware virtual environments and network based storage solutions, Mark ensures the smooth running of the internal systems infrastructure whilst supporting all staff. Keeping abreast of technology trends and developments, Mark is usually busy implementing continuous improvement to the business. In his free time Mark likes to spend time with his expanding family and friends, playing 5 a-side football once a week and online gaming.

Sinjon is a graduate of Reading University with a degree in Computer Science, while there he developed an interest in Image Analysis, Software Development and Software Testing. Sinjon has a broad range of skills ranging from programming to hardware management; due to these skills he was chosen to help teach Java and Android development as well as correct testing practices to second year students at Reading University. Sinjon brings together his skills into the QA team at apd to ensure the continuous devliery of high quality products that apd are renowned for. Sinjon loves a challenge and to try something new with the hope that it will teach him something and deepen his understanding. When the weather allows it he will be out learning how to glide to hopefully gain his Solo Gliding Licence so he can move onto his next challenge learning how to fly a powered plane.

With a background in Software Development, Josh aims to follow up his apprenticeship programme with a career as a software developer. Outside of his work with apd, Josh enjoys gaming and keeping fit climbing, running and playing football.
Teri Baines

Teri is both an accountancy and computer science graduate, and, having studied for the two degrees in France, is also fluent in French. Teri first joined apd on a work experience programme and quickly transitioned through to her data analyst role, giving her exposure to apd’s product suite. Teri has extensive project management experience for various sectors including Defense, Retail and Civil Service. Along with these skills, Teri brings service delivery and business analysis knowledge to the Operations team. As part of her role, Teri is responsible the day to day operations management through service delivery and product enhancements for both internal and client facing projects. Additionally, she acts as Business Management Consultant for our French speaking markets with on-site assistance of dealerships through the launch and integration of the apd composite system. While on the other side of the office doors, Teri enjoys training and competing in triathlons, rock climbing and anything on two wheels.

When not in the office John continues his personnel development studying for his degree in Computing & IT and learning Spanish. Handling numerous configuration change requests to ensure the ongoing delivery of the products and services offered to customers. Fluent in Romanian, French and English, Gabi supports our customers across Europe where her positive attitude helps her deliver an excellent level of service. Gabi loves to travel, exploring every inch of the UK, and she continues to develop her cultural awareness and language skills as she explores new countries.

With a degree in Engineering, and a wealth of experience in a variety of technical disciplines, Mike brings to apd a broad range of commercial expertise gained from a career spanning business startups to large multinationals including the financial services, healthcare and the automotive industry. Most recently Mike spent a number of years developing and supporting the technology backbone within car dealerships of the Mitsubishi franchise. At apd, Mike is responsible for the testing and support of the ProfitPlanner Business Planning system.

Matthew brings to apd 10 years of Customer Services experience within a number of business sectors (both commercial and financial). His 4 years prior to joining apd were spent gaining experience in report writing and analysis within a large multi-national production and distribution organisation, his main clients including BT and Universal Pictures. Since joining apd in 2009 his key responsibilities have included composite support, production and publication for all of our UK and Australia based automotive clients. This experience contributes considerably to his role of overseeing the production and support provided by the composite team to ensure an efficient and accurate composite delivery service.

When not busy with composite customers across Europe, Miguel enjoys spending time cycling in the fresh countryside air.

Born English but educated in France, Peter reinforces the intercultural competencies of the business of which it is proud. As well as his ability to do business with clients on a more personal level by speaking to them in their own language, previous studies in Philosophy have given him a methodical approach to work, and a determination to match every problem with a solution. This proves very useful in providing effective client support, and ensuring accurate delivery of the composite report service. Peter enjoys his leisure time singing tenor as part of a choir.

Paul has 15 years of experience working in a dealership accounts department working for a range of franchises including BMW, MINI, Mercedes Benz, Nissan and Porsche, at many of which as the dealership accountant responsible for all aspects of the dealership accounts function, including the submission and analysis of the monthly composite. Paul's detailed knowledge and solid understanding of the workings of a dealership provides an excellent basis for commercial interpretation of composite data.

As a passionate believer in high quality and accurate financial results, Steve takes responsibility for the quality and commercial integrity of a number of major composite clients across UK and Europe.

His roles have included Ford Main Dealer Accountant, Business Management Advisor with Citroen UK and Product Manager with responsibility for developing, marketing, training and supporting business planning products across a number of automotive franchises. Nick's "grass roots" experience means that results are gained through having a sound proactive commercial approach with a full understanding of business accounting and business management within the automotive industry environment. He is a highly organized, highly motivated individual who is able to demonstrate total commitment, energy and enthusiasm in all aspects of business management, by using in-depth knowledge and experience gained in a commercial environment. Nick's vast experience with accounting and business management best practice is key to the on-going successful development, coaching and support for our products.

A senior level Motor Industry Professional with 30+ years experience in the Retail Motor Industry, John is very experienced in all aspects of dealer operations, business management, profit improvement, viability planning, budgeting and analysis of results, with the ability to identify what it takes to put it right. He has also worked as a Dealer Principal, held strategic roles with two Major Importers, and spent many years as an Automotive Consultant in the UK, Europe and wider Global industry. With his roots embedded in the very nuts and bolts of the motor industry, John easily identifies with Dealer and Manufacturer staff at all levels and harnesses his wealth of experience to motivate and lead by example to manage change. Gaining great personal satisfaction from his job, there is nothing John likes better than to take a "deep dive" behind a set of results (e.g. Composite, Management Accounts, KPIs etc.) and identifying tangible improvement actions to practices and procedures which, when implemented, drive forward both operational and financial rewards.

Jan has over 28 years' experience in the automotive sector. During this time he has worked for manufacturers and in consultancy and training. He graduated from the London School of Economics and subsequently obtained a post graduate qualification in accounting and finance. The early part of Jan’s career was spent in Business Management and particularly in financial planning, investment appraisal and business management composite development. Jan has also worked in the area of strategic planning and marketing, and with some of the most famous brand names in the industry having been employed by Mercedes Benz, Volvo, Porsche and Toyota and Lexus. At Lexus he was UK Head of Marketing and Strategy and prior to that, General Manager Network Development. Since leaving Lexus, Jan has worked as a consultant for Logica PLC where he was Head of UK Consulting, Automotive. Jan also worked with JATO Dynamics, the world's leading provider of product and volume data to the global automotive sector, where he held the position of Vice President of Sales for Europe. At apd, Jan is Business Planning Manager for Nissan Motor (GB) Limited, leading a team of Business Management consultants, and is responsible for the overall dealership profitability and three year planning.

Jim Tyrrell has 30 years experience in the Auto industry. He joined Ford Motor Company in 1985 after studying Modern Languages at Durham University. During fifteen years with Ford, Jim held a number of positions in Sales, Marketing and Aftersales, including: Manager Service Marketing, Ford of Britain; Field Operations Manager, Ford of Britain; Marketing Manager Ford of Britain and Director of CRM and New Media, Ford of Europe. Following this, Jim was Marketing Director, Mazda Motors Europe. In 1991 Jim completed an MBA at INSEAD Business School, Fontainebleau, France. In 2000, Jim took over as Managing Director of Mitsubishi Motors UK. In that role Jim oversaw the turnaround of the business from heavy loses into significant profit and dramatic sales growth. Following the sale of the business to Mitsubishi Corporation, Jim stepped down from the position of Managing Director in 2009.

Native to the Netherlands, Gerrit is fluent in Dutch, German & English, leading performance improvement group workshops and running tailored dealership improvement programmes.
Derek Knight

Derek entered the motor industry in 1976, working in the contract hire industry before joining Renault UK as a Regional Fleet Consultant. His 10 years at Renault provided a wealth of experience of the operational running of a dealership through working as a Zone Sales Manager and other "hands on" roles, finally returning to his roots in accountancy when he took on the role of National Franchising Manager. This role involved the restructure of the entire dealer network, recruitment and setting up an average of 20 new businesses each year. After leaving Renault, Derek joined the much-respected Mitac organisation, later acquired by R L Polk, firstly as a Business Management Consultant providing dealership financial management training and consultancy services to OEMs and their dealer networks. He was latterly Director, Business Management Services, responsible for the growth of the company's composite, business planning and training and consultancy businesses. Derek founded apd business management following the withdrawal of R L Polk from the Business Management area of their business.
